The Heritage House is open for the 2026 season
The North Queens Heritage House Museum opened for the 2026 season on Tuesday, June 16. The house is staffed through the summer by volunteers and student guides, and admission remains by donation.
Inside you will find the period kitchen and pantry, the barbershop, the N.F. Douglas Store display and the Ruth Baxter Memorial Library. Out on the lawn, look for the gas pump, the millstone, the Alton House replica and the enamel Caledonia railway station sign.
Families researching North Queens roots are welcome to book time in the research room - it helps to send us a surname, a community and roughly a decade before you come.
